The two daughters of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen were involved in a car accident yesterday, but a source close to them confirms that they are safe.
“The kids are fine,” a source tells Usmagazine.com.
Sam, 4, and Lola Rose, 3, were riding in an SUV driven by their nanny on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu when a Honda cut them off, law enforcement sources said. Four cars were involved in the accident, which was first reported by TMZ.com.
“It could have been worse,” another source told Us. “They were protected by being in their car seats.”
No arrests have been made, and the driver of the Honda was taken to a local hospital. No one else involved was injured.
The reps of Richards and Sheen have not commented on the accident.

E! Entertainment Television has announced a second season pick-up for its half-hour reality series Denise Richards.
Production for the new season will begin early next year, which is poised to be a year of changes for Denise, including new career opportunities, reconnecting with old friends and a move on the horizon.
The series follows the daily life of the actress as she juggles career, motherhood and romance while living in the glare of the Hollywood spotlight. Produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, Denise Richards offers an intimate look inside the world of one of today’s most talked about celebrities.
The broadcaster adds that the series debut of Denise Richards: It’s Complicated in May 2008 ranks as the third highest-rated premiere in E!’s history and reached over 1.8 million total viewers. The series more than doubled the network’s primetime delivery among total viewers, averaging nearly 1.1 million viewers in its premieres, and scored its highest ratings among the coveted Women 18-34 demo, nearly tripling E!’s primetime average.

Hollywood hottie Denise Richards dressed up as a bride to shoot a scene with Akshay Kumar .
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Kambakkth Ishq has catapulted Akshay into a new league where he gets to rub his shoulders with famous Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards.
While shooting in Los Angeles, Akshay even shot a wedding sequence with Denise.
She was dressed in a white bridal gown while Akki was formally attired in a black suit with black shirt and tie. A good number of firangs were also part of the wedding sequence.
Bollywood actress Amrita Arora was spotted in a fetching yellow gown. Kareena Kapoor , the film’s leading lady, was not part of the shoot.
Though Akshay and Denise got along very well during the shoot, Amrita was seen standing aloof.
Akki has apparently bonded well with Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh too during the shoot.

It was definitely a treat for us as we got to see Denise and Akshay together!”
With her hubby getting hotter by the day, it seems Twinkle’s sleepless nights will never come to an end.
